Suited for years 8-12, our Commedia Workshops for Secondary Students encourage the development of self-esteem and self-confidence as well as a deeper understanding of theatre, theatre context in relation to the self, and the broader understanding of what it means to perform.
Whether your students are new to Commedia and/or Physical Theatre or need assistance to polish their skills for their final school production, Corinna’s in-depth approach is just what you need!
All workshops are tailored to suit your requests and workshop length can vary between 90 mins and 6 hours.
Please note: costs below are for standard workshops in Adelaide metro schools. Regional schools will need to cover travel and accommodation costs if required.
Workshops can include:
- commedia dell'arte (characters, walks, posture, interaction, lazzi)
- physical theatre
- improvisation / devising
- ensemble work
- comic duo
- slapstick comedy
- stage combat
- character development
- connecting Italian language to gestures
- direction / scene development for upcoming performances
